Making a Murderer

Brendan Dassey, the teenager coerced into confessing his involvement with a gruesome murder as dramatized in the wildly-popular Netflix documentary "Making a Murderer,"  just had his federal habeas petition granted.  Brien's commentary on the case and the decision was featured in the online entertainment magazine, The Wrap.  Read it here.

"Individuals often remain in prison on “technicalities” rather than getting out of prison, or out of a conviction because of a technicality" Brien is quoted in an article in the Northern California Record.  The article discusses a recent Supreme Court decision reversing a Ninth Circuit habeas decision.
